All That Cincinnati Jazz

All That Cincinnati Jazz—Cincinnati has always been a hotbed of jazz performance and education, and that influence spreads around the world. Every week, we spend an hour listening to the music that has direct connections to Greater Cincinnati, often with interviews with the music makers themselves. It’s a celebration of Cincinnati Jazz, locally and internationally with the Cincinnati Jazz Hall of Fame.

World of Theater Pipe Organ

World of Theater Pipe Organ The late Edwin B. Dooley was a veteran Cincinnati broadcast engineer. He helped compile WMKV’s massive big band era music library, recording many selections from his private collection. Some of the collection was donated to the station by the Dooley family after Mr. Dooley’s death. We miss Ed very much and honor his memory and his love of theatre pipe organ music by continuing to air the program he recorded in front of a classic ribbon microphone in the basement of his home. Ed’s widow, Joyce, often reported that she didn’t see her husband while he was working on WMKV projects, which were a labor of love for him. We wish to acknowledge the Dooley family for allowing us to continue to bring this nostalgic radio program to the airwaves!
