Sandman Standards

Sandman Standards Tom Sandman presents a baby boomer’s view of the Great American Songbook, featuring the 20th Century’s great pop standards and vocalists. You’ll hear the originals, the rare takes and the remakes, from Nat King Cole, Ella Fitzgerald, Tony Bennett, Peggy Lee, Bing Crosby – and of course, Frank Sinatra – singing the works of Irving Berlin, Cole Porter, Duke Ellington, Johnny Mercer, Rodgers & Hart (and Hammerstein). You’ll also hear how contemporary artists interpret the standards, such as Diana Krall and Harry Connick Jr.
